Why don't you make SPF 15 or SPF 30 lip balm?
Hmmm ...well, let's see. If exposing your lips to the sun will dramatically increase your chances of getting cancer of the lips then why are there not an increased number of cases of cancer of the lips in equatorial countries? In over 20 years of traveling and living in equatorial regions world wide and during my 53 years on this planet I have never heard of nor have I met ANYONE with lip cancer attributed to not using an SPF 15 or 30 lip balm, have you?.
You don't think the pharmaceuticals are just trying to sell you more crap do you? Nahhh, couldn't be.
You must decide what is best for you and your children. Over exposure to the sun is the main problem and this is certainly preventable with a hat or garment. Skin type is also a relevant factor. Whatever you decide, EDUCATE yourselves so you can make an informed decision and DON'T believe everything you hear.
